1,4SIGHT® Approved for use on seed potatoes in Germany

1,4SIGHT® is now approved for use on seed potatoes in Germany, offering growers a reliable and modern solution for dormancy management for 2026 harvested seed. Its natural active ingredient gently delays sprouting while supporting stable storage performance.

With 1,4SIGHT®, seed lots can be held at higher temperatures up to 6°C, delivering energy savings, easier handling and grading. The treatment also supports longer transport times after unloading from store and the mode of action can influence apical dominance, potentially increasing stem and tuber numbers. This may lead to a more favourable size distribution and a higher share of marketable fractions.

With this new minor use authorization, we are proud to strengthen support for Germany’s seed potato production.
