Every little bit helps: Potato dormancy enhancer 1,4SIGHT® & 1,4SEED® is now “Carbon Neutral” (UK, USA, Canada, Italy, Spain & Poland)

In agriculture, the climate has an immediate impact on daily business and decision making.  For farmers, this impact is even more apparent.  It changes and challenges the way of thinking, the use of chemicals, and how land is farmed, to ensure production of high quality, safe and sustainable food availability worldwide.

1,4GROUP & DormFresh are proud to announce, that we are taking this responsibility seriously and wish to support and help our farmers wherever possible.  Over the past few months, we have collaborated with professionals in this area, Climate Partner, to begin the process of supplying a product that is Certified Carbon Neutral.

Steve Elfering, CEO of 1,4GROUP & DormFresh states “We have worked hard investigating areas within our business, where reduction is possible.  To achieve the status of “Carbon Neutral”, 1,4GROUP & DormFresh will also focus on reduction of all our product’s carbon footprints by committing to Gold Standard, Scientifically Certified Offset initiatives.”

Our commitment to reduce a potato dormancy enhancer product’s carbon footprint is one of the first in our industry and although it may seem like a small step, we believe this will have a positive impact for our farmers, especially those already recording CO2 emissions.  By taking this initiative, 1,4GROUP & DormFresh will not only be helping our planet and future generations but also allowing target farmers within our first “Carbon Neutral” countries, (UK, USA, Canada, Italy, Spain and Poland) to use a carbon neutral product in storages.  Our commitment will be to add additional countries in the future as we continue to work closely with farmers, industry, and opinion leaders worldwide and be ready to offset our emissions for other markets.
