New 3-day WHP approval strengthens potato storage flexibility in Lithuania

Exciting news for Lithuania! The withholding period (WHP) for 1,4SIGHT® has officially been reduced from 30 days to 3 days. The change was approved on 10 June by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania. Lithuanian growers and storage managers now have greater control over their storage timelines, enabling them to respond more effectively to changing market conditions while maintaining regulatory compliance. With this approval, Lithuania joins a growing number of European markets adopting reduced WHPs - demonstrating ongoing progress toward more flexible, efficient, and sustainable potato storage practices.
