WHP for 1,4SIGHT® reduced in Finland

We’re pleased to announce that the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) have approved a reduced 3-day waiting period for 1,4SIGHT®, following the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) safety review under the updated EU Maximum Residue Level (MRL) for 1,4-DMN.

1,4SIGHT® is a dormancy enhancer that helps maintain potato quality, minimize sprouting, reduce weight loss, and extend storage life — supporting efficient, flexible, and sustainable operations for growers.

This regulatory advancement provides Finnish farmers with greater supply chain flexibility, enabling faster market responses while maintaining the same high standards of product safety and consumer confidence.
