WHP for 1,4SIGHT® reduced in the Netherlands

Following approvals in France, Germany and Austria, the withholding period (WHP) for 1,4SIGHT® has been officially reduced to 3 days in the Netherlands, based on the recent update to the Maximum Residue Level (MRL) for 1,4-dimethylnaphthalene (1,4-DMN) to 20 mg/kg.

This regulatory change confirms that the shorter WHP does not pose an increased risk to consumers. It enables Dutch storage managers to adopt more flexible and efficient strategies for potato storage, while maintaining high product quality and extended shelf-life.
